Binnen een professioneel Scrumteam ga je als Senior Python Developer aan de slag met het ontwikkelen en onderhouden van webapplicaties die onderdeel uitmaken van een geavanceerde software-architectuur. De focus ligt op eigenaarschap, samenwerking en kwaliteit. Als teamlid ben je actief betrokken bij sprint evaluaties, draag je bij aan continue verbetering en werk je nauw samen met stakeholders.

Flexibiliteit, communicatie en teamgeest zijn essentieel. Naast backend-ontwikkeling lever je input over DevOps-processen, deployment en infrastructuur.

Eisen:

Required

1) 5-6 years of experience in Python for web development

2) Other expected competencies

• Forward thinking and pragmatic approach to problem solving

• Understands best practices and how to adapt them or argue them in some cases

• Express their opinions about topics to the team and client when needed

3) Someone who can handle conflicting requirements from different stakeholders and not afraid of voicing out concerns

4) Someone who wants to have ownership of the deliverables of the team and maintain instead of just deliver and move on

5) Excitement to learn new things and experiment, not accept the status quo

6) Someone who is or has the potential to take the team with him and is open to input and review comments from the group and also includes / adjusts this in the evaluations of the sprints.

7) Good communication skills especially in conflict resolution

Wensen:

Nice to haves are: The candidate should also be experienced working in a DevOps practice designed using best practices and industry standards, cloud knowledge and how to build applications for the cloud.

You work within a nice and serious scrum team. Everybody is open for feedback and input as a result of sprints. Everything is discussed and improvement is applied where possible. Flexibility is essential as well as focus.

Nice to have

1) Experience working with:

• Microservices using messaging and http communication

• Frameworks like Django and FastAPI

• Infrastructure like RabbitMQ, Elastic Stack, Prometheus and OTEL

• RESTful API’s and OAuth2

• Kubernetes

• Best practices on DevOps

2) ASML experience

3) Candidate likes the formal way of working in ASML (e.g. review processes, pace of development of dependencies, formal communication style)
